At the beginning of 2012, Rossmann has 919 health and beauty shops abroad: 618 in Poland, 179 in Hungary, 108 in the Czech Republic, 6 in Albania and 8 in Turkey, employing approximately 10,000 members of staff. Sales in these foreign subsidiaries grew by 12 per cent in 2011 to EUR 1.32bn.

The foreign subsidiaries
Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic belong to Rossmann Central Europe B.V. which is managed together with A.S. Watson (40 per cent). Rossmann holds 75 % of the fourth subsidiary and is thus the major owner of Rossmann & Lala, which was founded together with Altin Lala for the Balkan country Albania, and which has about 90 employees.
The fifth and newest subsidiary is called ,,Dirk Rossmann Mağazacılık Tic.Ltd.Şti” and was founded on December 16 2009 in Istanbul. Dirk Rossmann GmbH owns 100 % of the company. The company is based in Istanbul.
Since July 2010, Rossmann now employs about 80 members of staff in Turkey, about 75 per cent in the health and beauty shops and the remaining 25 per cent in administration and logistics in Istanbul. Following the successful start in Ankara and once all the systems have been adjusted, four more Rossmann shops were opened in Turkey last year.
